It all started…
Ecogreen began business after Domingo Acosta, an environmental engineer with an environmental experience in the international oil and gas industry, and Omar Duran, a lawyer specialized in business, with experience in logistics companies, motivated by the recycling trends and the circular economy, decided to venture into a relatively new industry for Latin America.
After a market research and based on the reality that Venezuela presented at the time, where the recycling infrastructure was not efficient and very unprofitable due to the country’s oil income and low environmental awareness, both saw an opportunity in the recycling of plastics and used vegetable oils or UCO (Used Cooking Oil).?
Despite the Venezuelan economic and political situation, Ecogreen Mundo was founded in August 2015, responding to the industrial, commercial and community needs to have an organization able to close the gap between production, consumption and environmental pollution. Therefore, Ecogreen Mundo was consolidated as a company capable of leveraging these sectors in the area of ??environmental sustainability in order to comply with the requirements of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). COP 21 Paris 2015.

Thanks to the vision of these two entrepreneurs, today, Ecogreen Mundo has 12 of the 17 objectives set at the United Nations Summit on Sustainable Development Goals held in September 2015 (COP 21 Paris 2015) as guidance instruments with the goal of being met by 2030.
